Just before the second “Belt and Road” international cooperation summit forum was held in Beijing. China, Turkmenistan and Ghana Railway Development Department successfully signed the first phase of the Ghana mid-line railway project in Ghana.
The Ghana mid-line railway project starts from Kumasi, the second largest city in Ghana, and Tamale, the capital of the northern provinces, with a total length of 417km.
The contracted project is the first phase of the Ghanaian Middle Line Railway. The line is 100km long and the construction period is 24 months. The contract amount is USD$500 million. Since entering the Ghana market in 2009, Zhongtu Group has been promoting the Ghana Railway Project. The signing of the first phase of the Ghana mid-line railway project marks a substantial breakthrough in the Ghana market.
