Mr. Botana has 30 years working experience with over 10 years in project planning and investment appraisal for the Government of Botswana and 17 years in the rail sector of which 9 years were at Chief Executive Officer of both parastatal and private international railway company. Mr. Botana has had vast experience as a consultant in the areas of policy review and formulation, project management, process management, strategy planning, business development, branding, market and business intelligence.

He was a resource person for USAID Southern Africa Trade Hub of mention is the Railway Revitalization Initiative project for SADC, COMESA and EAC. Mr. Botana has a diverse experience in all economic sectors and its key stakeholders. He also has extensive experience in facilitating, chairing and managing consultative meetings, workshops, as well as strategy meetings involving multidisciplinary issues and stakeholders.
